WE ARE (almost) 100 DAYS SMARTER!!!!
Our school year is going by so quickly and we will soon be celebrating the 100th day of school. This next month also brings our Valentine’s Day celebration, which will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at 1:30pm (please contact Amy Richardson if you signed up to bring treats). We will be making Valentine’s bags in class and I will attach a list of names for cards. Parent/Teacher Conferences are right around the corner as well so make sure you contact the office to set up a conference time.
We are making a lot of progress and showing tremendous growth. This week brought some new and exciting additions to our reader’s workshop. We have started book clubs with different groups of our classmates. In our book clubs, we will discuss our books, talk about different parts of reading comprehension and work on reading skills. I can’t wait to dig deeper into reading with your kiddos!
REMINDER: In case of inclement weather, please check your local TV stations/radio stations and their websites in the case of school cancellations. Contact Cindy in the office if you need to update your contact information.
I hope you find all of the information you are needing. I strive to keep this website up-to-date with all of the classroom information and coming events. Let me know if there is anything you would like to see on the site or something that you were unable to find. Any feedback would be helpful and my contact information can be found in the right sidebar.
Our field trip to the Sedgwick County Zoo is on Friday, May 4th. I will send out more information in April in preparation for trip.
The best time to bring birthday treats is around 1:45 daily. There are no allergies that I am aware of at this time. There are 27 students, myself, and usually 3 classroom aides in the room at this time (31 total). Thank you!
